On September 22^nd the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland granted a patent (number P.410049) for an invention entitled: “A method for detecting an increased risk of developing skin cancer and a use of a genotype variant of the GRHL3 gene”. Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology is the exclusive owner of this patent. The authors of this invention are Dr. Agnieszka Kikulska and Dr. Tomasz Wilanowski from the Nencki Institute, and Prof. Piotr Rutkowski from the Maria Sklodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center and Institute of Oncology in Warsaw.
